Same dress, different picture

Em's been on my case the past couple days because she really doesn't like the picture I posted of Mather in her white dress in the prior post. She does like this other picture I took the same day -- so, which picture do you all like more?

This one. While she's still adorable in the previous one, it looks as if she is vanilla being swallowed by chocolate.

Now, doesn't "vanilla being swallowed by chocolate" sound more artistically interesting than "baby in chair"?

you know, i like the other one better.

While it may be more artistically interesting, I think she looks like a mutant in the other one (I'm allowed to say that, I'm her mother!). And besides, she's being devoured by the bed... it's scary.

I like them both. Not trying to be diplomatic, I just really do! They're both so different. She looks like a serene, well-behaved little angel in the first one. In this one, she looks happy and playful. Great pics!

Sorry, I'm with Emily. I think more of Mather's personality shows with the second shot ;-)

I'm glad to see BOTH of them. The vanilla/chocolate one has this delightful sepia, old-fashioned flavor to it -- a classic. This one, while not as well framed, shows that laughing smile that I hope to see one day soon!

I'll have to go with this one. It just seems more, well...Mather! The other one is nice too, but it has more of a posed feel to it, while this one is just Mather being her adorable, smiley self. Also, it does kinda look like she's being devoured by the bed in the other...

In the first post Mather looks like Grandma Sarah (1920's). In the second post she looks like Momily and herself. More personality in #2--an old soul in #1.

like the first one, but i'm into victoriana, and this is classic.

Mom? Dad? Please get a life. Step away from this blog or I swear my future is nothing but a string of chainsmoking therapists, teenaged motherhood and a couple of tattoos to boot.
