Alamo Square at Dawn

This is a "companion piece" to Momily's last post. In the early morning hours we still believed we might be going into labor today; we shot this with a foggy backdrop in San Francisco's Alamo Square during our walk.

Gotta love the old, spontaneous "any thoughts?" question. Kudos to Em for not just giving Daniel the "Um...er...it's friggin' dawn and I've been having cramps all night, I dunno!" answer.

Very exciting! Not long now!

Woohoo, it sounds like your boat is approaching the shore! I'm sending quick and easy labor thoughts your way...

I have to agree with Adriane. Momily was amazingly composed for having a camera shoved in her face at that early of an hour.

Good job mom!

You'll note I did not turn the camera on myself at that early an hour.

Grandauntie Savi here...
on a rented computer in Zihuatanejo. busy reading all the blogs I´ve missed and, well, dang -- was hoping to read of Mather´s first breath, first eye contact, first-time hand closing on a parent´s finger, and of all the tears of joy.

Next time we make it to town, then.
love to you all,
Savi

I am definitely glad that you did not turn the camera around.

You had better just remember our agreement concerning video posts.

What if I just give you fair warning? Just because you don't want to see a crying baby doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.

hmm. i'm going to go with "everyone else doesn't" on the crying baby quiz.
