Congratulations Daniel and Emily... what a gorgeous little girl! I met you both in Janurary this year through a common friend; Owen, and have been quietly, but with a great deal of enjoyment, following your blog. I look forward to seeing Mather grow. Cheers from Joanne, Canberra, Australia.

Thanks everyone, for your comments! I get sporadic wifi access in our recovery room, so I'll try and pass along updates as I can. Everyone is doing well so far on day 2.

If you think she's cute in the pictures, just wait til you see Mather in person!

Love,
Daniel

Hello all and congratulations to Dan, Emily and Mather. I know she waited to avoid becoming a Halloween baby. Good call Mather. All of Emily's colleagues here at Damasco & Associates LLP are sending our best wishes to all of you. Sincerely,

I'm pretending to work but basically spreading the news. I will be over to see her in a few minutes. I am so proud of both of you and of course of my beautiful, talented grandaughter. I have never seen a more expressive and alert newborn. I am totally in love with her.

Congratulations for making it through labor! You all look great, not at all like you just went through birthing a baby.

Cuteness: so, there's this whole 'miracle of life' thing, but how about the miracle of cuteness! It's not really a miracle with such gorgeous parents, but damn she's cute! I've been showing off your pics to my coworkers, who don't know any of you.

Lots of love to you Ransom family!
